The Peter F. Drucker Award of $100,000 for Non-profit Innovation
The Peter F. Drucker Award of $100,000 for Non-Profit Innovation has been launched for the year 2014. Non-profitorganizations demonstrating change that creates a new dimension of performance are invited to submit application for the award. Highly effective programs that have made a demonstrable difference in the lives of the people they serve are strongly encouraged to apply.
The Drucker Institute of Claremont Graduate University offers the annual award which was launched by Peter Drucker himself in 1991. Peter F. Drucker was a writer, professor, management consultant and self-described ‘social ecologist,’ who explored the way human beings organize themselves and interact much the way an ecologist would observe and analyze the biological world. Drucker was faculty at Claremont Graduate University for 30-plus years. In 2002, he received the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the nation’s highest civilian honor.
The major purpose of the award is to find the innovators (small or large), recognize and celebrate their example, and to inspire others.
Eligibility Criteria –
- Applicant organization must be an IRS-certified 501(c)(3). Applicant must submit a copy of the 501(c)(3) determination letter along with the application.
- Non-profit under an umbrella organization who do not have 501(c)(3) status can also apply. They must list the parent organization as applicant and their own work as specific program.
- Application can be made for a specific program or for the entire organization.
To begin with application, the organization must create an account and proceed.

A edição do 2014 do edital do Prêmio Usinas do Trabalho foi publicado pelo Instituto Consulado da Mulher. O edital tem como objetivo selecionar iniciativas de empreendedorismo feminino, popular e de economia solidária. Serão escolhidos 20 empreendimentos coletivos que atuem na área de lavanderia e alimentação, inscritos por organizações da sociedade civil, sendo que os dez primeiros classificados receberão assessoria do Consulado, 5 mil reais e outros benefícios.

Ideias para projetos que apoiem as comunidades a contar sua própria história a partir do uso da mídia podem ser enviadas para a chamada de micro financiamentos da iniciativa Rising Voices. O financiamento varia entre 2.000 e 2.500 dólares (4.600 e 5.750 reais, aproximadamente) e a organização não precisa estar legalmente constituída para enviar um projeto: pode ser um movimento social ou uma comunidade.
